Warriors 94, Hawks 115
: Be weary, Eastern teams. With the win, Atlanta capped its first winning month in over three years, going 9-5 in the month of January. The Hawks took advantage of the Warriors lack of defense, scoring 70 points in the first half. I don’t expect this to last, but I’d lie if I said I wasn’t pulling for them; we haven’t had an NBA playoff game in Atlanta in, oh. . . damn. A long time.

Lakers 111, Celtics 98: Kobe came back with a vengeance, scoring 43 points with 8 dimes, helping the Lakers get back to their winning ways. Playing the Celtics certainly helped, though.

Mavericks 95, Grizzlies 94: At least Memphis is playing better. . .

Nuggets 91, Blazers 100: They didn’t have Iverson, but you get the feeling that the wheels are starting to fall off in Denver. That’s four straight losses for the Nuggets.
