Suns 94, 76′ers 99 : The ‘6ers are actually starting to come around. I still they kinda suck, just they lack real star power, but they’ve definitely been better off without Allen Iverson. The Suns lost, making it 14 on the year, which pretty much gives the Mavs the West.
Heat 92, Wizards 83: Losing to the Heat a week ago wouldn’t have been bad. Losing to the Heat now is kind of an admission of suckiness. And Gilbert Arenas, who hasn’t exactly been on these last few games, wasn’t really on in this game, going 3-18 from the field, 0-8 from three-point land, and finishing with 15 points.
Knicks 94, Celtics 102: Losing Jamal Crawford is already affecting this team. It’s the only reasoning you can really use to explain a loss to the Celts.
Hawks 100, Hornets 107: I. Hate. The Hawks. This is, like, the tenth year in a row I’ve been forced to watch this team head towards a lotto pick, only to blow it on a guy like Marvin Williams or Sheldon Williams.
Jazz 104, Grizzlies 88: Matt Harpring came off the bench for the Jazz, scoring 25 points to help Utah defeat Memphis. The Jazz have been that team that’s confused me year round, because I feel like their “stars” really aren’t that great. They’re awful deep, though, and no matter who goes down, they seem to find a way to win.
Warriors 83, Bulls 113: At least Golden State got off the plane and showed up for the game. With a thirty point loss, though, they might as well have skipped that part.
Raptors 106, Rockets 90: The Rockets are skidding, and the Raptors are flying. Bargnani scored 20 points, and T-Mac only managed 22. It was Houston’s third loss in four games, while the Raptors won for the third time in four games.
Magic 101, Nuggets 111: That sound you hear? It’s the Magic free falling. Meanwhile, Denver managed a rare win with ‘Melo and AI both in the lineup.
