Bulls 93, Pistons 95 : Ben Wallace had 6 points and 8 rebounds, while Chris Webber had 21 and 9. It was a season high for CWebb, and it came at a good time. This marked Ben Wallace’s first return to Detroit, where he was booed every time he touched the ball, and was outscored, outrebounded, and pretty much outplayed by the guy who’s essentially replacing him now.
Rockets 97, Magic 93: He’s missed some games due to injury, but I think at some point you have to at least consider T-Mac for MVP. He had 34 points and was 15-18 from the stripe, leading all players. Dwight Howard really let his team down, only grabbing 16 boards this game. This was McGrady’s third straight game with over thirty points, and the Rockets are 2-1 in those games.
Cavs 81, Heat 86: LeBron James scored 29, and the rest of the Cavliers just decided they wanted to take a day off. Speaking of days off, Shaq scored 19 points and actually logged 29 whole minutes.
Wizards 94, T’Wolves 98: If Gilbert Arenas doesn’t lead this team in scoring, they lose. He shot 4-22, but still managed 20 points.
Suns 115, Hawks 106: Beating the Suns a couple of weeks ago without Steve Nash seemed a lot easier. Amare Stoudemire, Shawn Marion 21, and Leandro Barbosa had 19. Steve Nash had 13 assists, a stat that’s almost becoming redundant.
Lakers 102, Warriors 85: Maurice Evans scored a career-high 26 points, tying Kobe Bryant for the team high. The Lakers went on a 33-7 run in the first half, and the Warriors were never able to catch up.
Knicks 92, Nets 101: New York’s playoff hopes are getting dimmer and dimmer by the day. New Jersey, meanwhile, leads the the division. I never quite understood why they were ever shopping Kidd and Carter, anyway — in the East, anyone’s got a shot, especially a team that has Kidd and Carter.
Kings 110, Pacers 93: Kevin Martin, who I didn’t know until today, led the Kings with 35 points. Mike Bibby chipped in with 28, and the rest of the Kings really didn’t score much at all. The Pacers were winning this game at the half, only to get outscored 40-24 in the third. It was all over from there.
