Heat 100, Spurs 85 : D’Wade scored 25 points and Shaq helped out with 16, as the Heat beat the struggling Spurs (two losses in a week for this team usually means struggling). I like(d) the Heat, but now that the Hawks are in contention for the playoffs — hey, it’s not that unrealistic — I’m kind of hoping D’Wade tears an ACL and Shaq continues playing every other four games.
Lakers 90, Cavs 99: Maybe less LeBron means better LeBron. He only had 19 points on 5-15 shooting, but the Cavs won. He seems to understand at a much earlier stage in his career than Kobe Bryant just how important passing is. Props to Sasha Prolovic, who I didn’t know yesterday, but do today. He led the way with 21 points.
Trail Blazers 94, Wizards 73: Gilbert Arenas didn’t quite get the fifty points he promised. And when I say didn’t quite, I mean he was 41 points shy. I think it’s no coincidence he was guarded by Jarret Jack, a former Georgia Tech guy.
Hawks 106, Warriors 105: Playoffs, baby. Playoffs.
Celtics 107, T’Wolves 109: Something tells me that Danny Ainge might not be back next year. It’s kind of funny to me how an 18 game losing streak (Celtics) is way more exciting than a 17 game winning streak (Suns).
